well, frau hansen (okay, "brenda" ;o), the main reason i loved that photo was because of the blue tones; i had another pic of the same place, but it lacked all of that atmosphere. but here's the funny part--I have NO idea how it turned out that way. Actually, i have a feeling that the blue tones might have been an indication to me that something was going horribly wrong with my camera. but when it pumped up on my LCD viewer-thingy, i said, "oooohhhhh..." and was so sad when i lost it. and so happy when i found it again! alas, i'm no photographic genius... :o)

brenda, i realize that tone is always missing in the written word, so were you serious when you said, "i don't know where that came from"? because, um, it's from *faust.* lines 3456-57. but not that i knew those line numbers off the top of my head or anything... of course i had to get out my book!

very nice. the color gives it so much "gefuehl." :) and as goethe said, "Gefuehl ist alles; Name ist Schall und Rauch." (i don't know where that came from.)

you should print it and put in in your apartment somewhere and wait for the compliments (modestly telling visitors that you know the artist personally).
