mels, you’re so funny :o) actually, those before pics were taken by the realty agency (at least, they were sent to me by them). Sandra (my realtor), if you are reading this, I hope you’re not offended! Remember, they thought mine were taken will a camera-phone!! tomania (“THE” tomania), i can’t believe you’ve commented twice on my blog. TWICE! i noticed paul visited ben k’s site, too, in his witty way of his ;o)

i am very pleased to have exchanged words with you now, tomania. and how nice of you to look at my blog! :o)

and JEN… you almost got me there. i started to think, “oh, duh. yeah, jen must have already told you that she had 2 friends named tomania… (although my original thought was “how many tomanias could there be out there?”) melanie, you are sooo stupid. especially since this tomania girl probably isn’t married…”

but then i got the joke and ha ha, you almost had me lol again. :o)

and back to the pics… what i think is sort of funny is that if i had to say the pictures were bad in the first place (which i don’t think they really are), the before ones look worse than the after ones. how appropriate!!

Yes Mels, I am “the” Tomania. :-) I took a look at your site too very nice. I am just now exploring this whole blogging thing. I always thought that it was more like a virtual diary and that didn’t seem too appealing to me. I wouldn’t want anyone to read my journals, but I do like this conversation/discussion style. Jen, I am very impressed.

Tomania! you COMMENTED. I’m impressed :o) I think I mentioned blogging once before and you said, “I hate those things.” i don’t know if at the time you’d ever actually SEEN/USED one, but I’m glad you came around. Ben Kammer would be proud. I can’t wait for you to come visit, either! 2 Weeks-ish!

No, mels, that’s a different Tomania. It’s amazing how many ‘Tomania’ a person runs into over the course of ones life in America…;o) of course it’s the same tomania! oh, and now I get the thing about the hole in the wall. yes, it’s a closet. in the “chairs” pics, you see the closet behind the furniture.
tim, who said anything about a picture PHONE!? :op i already admitted that the shots were sub-quality, but thanks for pointing out just HOW sub-quality! that’s okay, they really are pretty…bad! i think a tri-pod and using the actual flash or lighting adjustments might have helped, but oh well…i’ll have to pull out my manual and take some better shots (assuming that’s possible for me).

gwen, i’ll try and get some decent pics of Boston for you (maybe not with this not-a-phone-camera…i really do think you’d do some great paintings!)

the living room one. but now i’m thinking that maybe it’s just an opening? like perhaps that’s a closet or storage room or something–with a sliding door? and the door is just cracked a bit?

oh, and i wanted to say “hi” to tomania. i mean she is the tomania, isn’t she? i’ve never met you, but jen always says nice things about you and your husband! :o)

was definately not making fun…b/c i’d loooove to have those pillows on my couch! those are my favorite colors and i absolutely adore pier 1!
send me some pics and i’ll see what i can do painting-wise…i’m always up for awesome new inspiration and boston is one of those places on my need-to-spend-more-than-1-day-here list.

oh, i’m glad you liked it :o) i thought you were making fun of me (maybe you were, but not in a bad way…riiiight????;o) they ARE from pier one. see, i went in their to get the rug…then saw the drapes…and had to get the cushions…the tea pot is not from pier1…i think bensfriends should make a field trip to boston as a whole. you guys would like it a lot. gwen, you could do some amazing paintings of the brownstones ans streetlamps that would look smashing on my currently-naked walls!
