I'm surprised no one mentioned here the most important Christmas film of all time: Ernest Saves Christmas. I well up each time he starts singing "O Christmas Tree" and laugh each time he forgets the words. :-)

Well, I agree with those, but I have a few to add. First, “A Christmas Gift.” With Neil Patrick Harris and Debbie Reynolds. It is a must see, if you can find it.

Jen, your picks were superb. I couldn’t agree more. I love Scrooge WAY more than those other Christmas carol movies…Muppets is close, though. Cute, funny, and Michael Cane makes a good Scrooge. And Miss Piggy as Mrs. Cratchet–now that’s FUNNY! You make me smile, Jen. :)

I’ve always been a fan of the George C. Scott film version of “A Christmas Carol;” of course, this was the one we watched growing up, so that might colour my perception a bit. The Muppet version isn’t half bad in its own right.
