Jen,

The more I read the more teary eyed I became. What a blessing. I truly believe the Lord is working in your brother's heart. I will be praying that he continues to go to church with you. I don't even know what to say except Praise the Lord. I know that John's salvation is a huge burden on your heart. Tell John that I was glad to hear that he went with you.

Jen, thanks for posting this good news about your brother! I had the privilege (and i do think it was a privilege!) of growing up with a girl who had Down's Syndrome. Her family and ours were great friends, and we spent much time together. I remember Alice's very sweet moments listening to Patch the Pirate for hours in her bedroom, as well as her not so sweet moments, which I shall not write! :) Alice has always had a special place in our family's hearts. She even came to my wedding. Her father passed away a few years ago, and Alice and her mother are now on the mission field in Venezuela. I say all this as a reminder of how the Lord can use Alice, your brother, and others with Down's to be an encouragement and have a ministry to others.
